Different Vanilla Ice Cream Recipes
Vanilla Ice Cream
Ice cream comes in all flavors. Some people even write about it in their books. One such book is below. The image is found from http://www.americastestkitchen.com/recipes/detail.php?docid=30526.
Recipe Found Here And, Below in detail.

Vanilla Ice Cream
"2 cups half-and-half
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup minus 2 tablespoons sugar
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
Directions
Combine all ingredients (including the bean and its pulp) in a large saucepan and place over medium heat. Attach a frying or candy thermometer to inside of pan. (see note below) Stirring occasionally, bring the mixture to 170 degrees F. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Remove the hull of the vanilla bean, pour mixture into lidded container and refrigerate mixture overnight to mellow flavors and texture.
Freeze mixture in ice cream freezer according to unit's instructions. The mixture will not freeze hard in the machine. Once the volume has increased by 1/2 to 3/4 times, and reached a soft serve consistency, spoon the mixture back into a lidded container and harden in the freezer at least 1 hour before serving.
NOTE: If you do not have a thermometer, bring the mixture just barely to a simmer. As soon as you see a bubble hit the surface, remove it from the heat. Do not let it boil."

"2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups half-and-half cream
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream and the half and half. Gradually whisk in the sugar until blended.
Whisk in the vanilla. Refrigerate, covered, until very cold, at least 3 hours or as long as 3 days.
Whisk the mixture to blend and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Eat at once or transfer to a covered container and freeze up to 8 hours."
Compare: Both have 2 cups half-and-half cream. However, the type of whipping cream is not specified in the first recipe but the difference of heavy whipping cream is a whole cup. The sugar in the first one is not said, either, but it is about the same amount. Vanilla bean and vanilla extract are only a matter of taste.
What is different about the recipes.

My Love for Ice Cream
So, I was looking for a book that had Christian Mystery in it. Also, I love Ice Cream. Most of the flavors. My favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip. But, I am also a Whitey's fan and a Ben and Jerry's fan.
Whitey's is a local ice cream place near my home. The cotton candy shakes are expensive but they really do taste like cotton candy. I know that the Smurf ice cream is high in calories but I love that shake.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
